Rain rain

 The cold got worse as the day went on which meant I didn't help in the garden. BigA and Margaret managed to do a lot, and although it's hard to see some of the plan, each time I can see the vision of a very beautiful garden. Next big thing will be trying to get rid of the annoying white wall that creates an artificial barrier into the garden. So, despite the work done I was only really up for an early night and a plodding weekend. I did a bit of my NPQH and that's about it. 

Despite the lingering cold I went into work and frankly was quite bored. Better to be bored than angry. I also got another day off - this time because I had a pre operation assessment which I was pleased about. One step closer to an operation and a day off

I very much like 4 day weeks. But no date and no real sense of if it's likely to be a week or more to wait. My new school are being very kind about it, but it isn't the flying start I wanted. My current school are just glad I'm still there I think. 

The best part of the working week was Tuesday evening, when we got the Christmas tree from the loft and a box of Christmas stuff. Us girls decorated it and the front room while BigA watched football. So feminist of us! 

I do love these bits of Christmas and making memories. And because none of us had school on Thursday, me off to hospital and the girls school shuts for a parents focus day thing, we headed to a Vietnamese place for dinner. Really lovely. Both girls school feedback was great, they are doing so well and impressing their teachers. We're super proud of them and it is all self motivation. 

Then the highlight of the week... Rosie and Anna coming to stay but I honestly thought it might not happen, train strikes etc they bravely faced the journey in their electric car and just made it. So this email is later than normal because I got up for tea, chats, the park run (walk) in the driving rain and then a beautiful brunch made by BigA while we were out getting incredibly wet.
