Pyjama day
I didn't get out of my pajamas until quite late in the afternoon. I did plenty about the house but just didn't get out of them until I really had to. And that was to get ready for a friend's birthday party. Fancy dress, professions begining with S, H or B and Paola and I went as baristas. She had made us Sam themed Starbucks aprons. Very cool. It was a nice night, because Paola and I could talk the night away but we didn't know many other people at all. Sunday wasn't very different to Saturday except no party.
BigA has been doing the decking at the back of the house. I'm very excited to have the garden feel more finished and have a place to sit out in and possibly have lunch in the sun. Although of course the weather has turned and the nights are drawing in. He's away though, cheeky so and so is in Italy. Playing Frisbee.
The girls should both be well and truly back into the routine of Sixth Form life but alas they have been off for three days because of continued strike action at the school. I know this year will fly by for them. They had a games night on Wednesday - I fell asleep to sounds of laughter and fun. The three of us went to women's frisbee on Thursday. I wasn't terrible. They went back in yesterday and both have secured extra jobs, M is doing a bit of child minding and A will be mentoring at a primary school.
Work - well a few more cans of worms being opened. Some that I should be shocked at but I'm not. But I do feel that things are improving and staff, on the whole, are developing into proper adults. I've been called fewer nasty names (at least to my face) and had 5 really quite nice lessons. I do need to get some high quality planning done as I know that makes a big difference. It's still really busy but I'm seeing some wood amongst the trees. Despite some more bonkers incidents and dubious behaviour of Governors.
The girls and I took full advantage of absent BigA and had Chinese take away and chocolate last night- we can if course do this when he's here but he's not a fan. And A slept in our bed - I'm treasuring these last moments before she turns into a full blown adult. She's in a Sesame Street onesie.
