End of that chapter
I had an uncomplicated and uneventful weekend, I think the week before had really sapped my energy.
Monday and Tuesday, Sean was in and we spent most of those days together, planning, talking, deciding, and it felt good to be treated like the experienced professional I am. There were more safeguarding issues, which are very much expected towards the end of term. And then some unexpected ones that I wasn't happy with how they were dealt with. External professionals not doing what I expected, the niggling doubt that I haven't done all I can and should remains. September should see significant change on this.
Maggie arrived on Tuesday, we were able to celebrate her new job for September and chat away. The others had gone to the theatre, A and M loved it, and were soaked as the end there was dancing in the stage rain.
A got an award for being a brilliant History student. And M got a tutor award.
Then the last day of term. For lots of reasons it was typical and A- typical some lovely moments and some frustrating ones. But having had Sean in on the Monday and Tuesday I felt like at least the future had almost arrived. I got a fine through the post for going through a zone, that I didn't know was a zone and that nearly finished me, I was so tired. Margaret and Dick had arrived, so I enjoyed the work Margaret had done on the garden and we had a curry - just what I needed.
The next morning we did a bit together in the garden after I had a lie in. And I got an email to let me know I had passed my NPQH. I was and am very happy about that.
Yesterday I had a lovely evening with my pals who I know from Southgate School. Good to catch up and laugh lots with good food to help.
BigA has finished off the sink in the little bathroom and it looks so good. I'm very impressed.
