Easter Bunny
Just before if realised - or was told it was Saturday I'd had a lovely shower, following on from a day with Margaret in the garden. Finishing off one of the beds. Then we had takeaway. And headed off to bed satisfied with the day.
Easter Sunday was a treat, I'd been so excited to get eggs and the girls were keen to have the Easter bunny visit. I woke up and then waited, and waited and then woke them up. BigA was the first to open an egg and start eating chocolate egg for breakfast. The excitement was real, having had very few eggs over the last 6 years for A and 8 for M. Their favourite of all were the kinder eggs and not the chocolate bit but opening up the yellow case to reveal the toy to assemble inside. They both were so cute, comparing them and playing with them as they munched away at chocolate. I then made a roast dinner, using the clocks in the kitchen to guide me but something was off, so I looked at my phone, I had no idea the clocks had changed and was totally thrown for a bit, but I chucked the food into the oven and despite the slightly later meal time all was well. M remarked that it all felt like Christmas. The girls then had friends over to do an Easter egg hunt and we left them to it. On our return from a walk around I finished off the final touches to the trifle and presented it to the teenagers, who made suitable ooh and ahh noises. BigA and I headed out again to the Bambers so the teenagers could have their Easter party in peace.
M was off at her gran's for the majority of the week. A and I did a bit of shopping and she has been quite good at revising for her mocks. We also got some annual flowers for the garden to bring some colour and add to the improvements that were made. They have been good at getting on with revision and keeping it balanced.
The week has mainly been about getting little odd jobs done and seeing friends, and so overall a successful week for me. BigA too has been getting things done as best he can, the woman he does the European parliament work for hasn't gotten any easier to work for. But he has sort of taken the week off so she's not been quite so irritating. He's ordered new window pains to replace the ones that are mucky and are no longer fit for purpose. Will be nice to be able to see out!
The girls have even been to the gym this week. I think they enjoyed it so I hope they go a little more often.
