exam season

BigA set off for his last big frisbee weekend in Malawi but A and I stayed behind, with her first written exam just around the corner she wanted to be able to revise. She is doing well on that, we sit sometimes while she tells me about her history topics and explains the plays she is doing. His team didn't win but he had fun.

Our guard didn't last long, the big bosses at G4S said he couldn't sit in our garden. So we have been moving in the furniture from outside each night.

A had her first big week of exams and she has been doing well. Not too stressed but naturally nervous. It's strange not walking into school with her each day and being home before I am. She and BigA went out for lunch together yesterday.
I was out that evening and A did a bit of baby sitting.
Work wise, a short and busy week. Sarah is back and she always finds it hard to leave her husband and son in the UK. She was so busy and I'm not, I still feel I could be given more to do and perhaps if I was staying I would be, but I see why there isn't much point now. I've not been reading much because most of my classes are on study leave.

I've been awake a lot over night, there is a lot of music, something like a carnival seems to be happening in Ndirande, all night long. Very loud and intrusive. I think I'm going to give up on trying to sleep and make a cup of tea.

BigA has been teasing me that I'm using things up when we have over a month left. I however feel a small amount of joy each time I finish off a jar of something or find a good use for a random item in the cupboard.
What can you make with vanilla extract, spinache lasagna sheets and bicarbonate of soda?
