November 2021 - swimming gala
Morning lovely family
Mum I hope the rest of your birthday was wonderful.
I'm trying not to think about the new variant etc. But I can see us back on the red this any time soon.
Last weekend I spent a fair amount of Sunday writing my supporting statement for the Deputy Head job that has come up (again) at SAIntS. Not because the current one is leaving, because there isn't one at the moment. But because the governors appreciate the need for one. It's, to my knowledge just me and my colleague T going for it. Perhaps by next weekend I'll be able to tell you I got it.
The week has been busy but again fun, lots of frisbee and getting to the end of term. We've had a fair amount of staff sickness which is worrying, although we don't think any of it is COVID. Some difficult conversations, some teaching, training and lots of meetings, but all in all good.
A highlight was the visiting theatre company, an armature group but it was a well done piece. If you've seen Abigail's Party, it was like a Malawian version of that in many ways.
Yesterday was (along with my mum's birthday) our school swimming gala, we didn't get to have one last year so it was such a treat. A did brilliantly and I was so very proud to see her take part. Not everyone swims.
BigA has been overseeing the installation of a sink in our kitchen, it is really beginning to look very nice. And he's sorted the grey water, which is very good for the garden.
One of the cats keeps shitting in the house, not great, but at least no more snakes.
Have a wonderful week
Love
