Jan - blowing in the wind

I didn't feel too great at the weekend, feeling like being near a toilet was best all round. But kinda fine by Monday. Slept a lot which helped.

Monday was valentines , and bigA took me out for a nice meal at a restaurant we hadn't been to before. It was nice enough, nothing bet different to other places but it was lovely to just be together and chat.

Tuesday was a big day, the Open Afternoon. So much time and energy went into it but I was disappointed by the turn out. I've had positive feedback on it and if we get the numbers for September that's the key thing.

Wednesday was an interesting interview day. Senior leader

It's been yet another full week of interviews which has been made easier because sixth form students having mock exams i I've have fewer lessons to teach. Some great candidates this time and I feel a real sense of optimism for next year.

Other hard things, like telling people they didn't get the job and giving a formal verbal warning to a teacher because she lost it and spoke very badly to a class. She took our very well and we are going to sort some issues out to help her with her behaviour management.

The bar is almost finished... Cosmetics now.

The cats are being fun, Bruno seems to be bullying Kanga a bit.

A has had a quiet week but a fantastic report. She of course looked at the only teacher who gave her good rather than exemplary!

It's half term now. We haven't made any plans, but I'm sure we'll think of something to do. Perhaps a short trip to the lake. I think A and bigA should climb a mountain of two.

I'm off to the spa today for a pedicure and I've done a lot of walking around school this half term and be feet really need that pampering.

I hope you didn't get hit hard by the wind.
